(O. Petryszen) Shadowland® ‘Coast to Coast’ Hosta PP#26,469 – [30″ x 40″] Olga is the Queen of large beautiful specimen hostas. ‘Coast to Coast’ is no exception as a giant, solid gold hosta that makes a striking specimen in the shade garden. Its foliage emerges gold in spring and turns lighter gold with a bit more sun exposure in the summer months. The leaves become thick and puckered with age and have wavy edges and nearly white undersides.
The upright vase-shaped clump is topped with green scapes carrying pale violet flowers in midsummer. Its thick leaves and rigidly upright habit tend to make ‘Coast to Coast’ more slug resistant. It can be grown as a single specimen in a large container or in a prominent place in the landscape.
